From Brad Pitt to Prince Charles, Mark Flood’s work leaves no cultural touchstone unturned. Flood examines ideas about beauty and society through a wide variety of mediums, including his signature lace paintings and grotesque reimaginings of celebrity head shots. His solo exhibitions include “The Hateful Years” at Luxembourg & Dayan (New York), “ARTSTAR” at Zach Feuer (New York), “ASTROTURF YELP REVIEW SAYS YES” at Peres Projects (Berlin), “Another Painting” at the Contemporary Art Museum (Houston), and “Yes Yes Yawn” at Home Alone Gallery (New York). Group shows include those at Venus Over Manhattan (New York), the Rubell Family Collection (Miami), Galerie Perrotin (New York), and Marlborough (Chelsea, NY). His work is represented in the permanent collections of the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts (Houston), and The Menil Collection (Houston). Flood lives and works in Houston, Texas.
