Osamu Kobayashi embraces the duality of visual forms in his abstract paintings by exploring the tension between chance and control; organic forms and geometric shapes; warm shades and cool hues; and macro and micro existence. Employing reduction as a form of minimalism, the repetition of swooping cyclical lines recall zen gardens, drawing on Kobayashi’s Japanese heritage. In Light Mask, our exclusive print edition, Kobayashi’s organic and poetic lines are enhanced by vibrant color palette which builds from electric red to blazing yellow; deep black into a rich royal blue, and result in a beautifully refined abstraction.

Framing option is white or black painted wood, 7/8” wide flat face and 7/8” deep, with UV acrylic glass.
