In the tradition of artists who have made lettering from the human form, like Vanessa Beecroft or Horst P Horst, Erik Foss created a series of twenty-six collages — one for every letter of the alphabet. It began when artist Jack Walls pointed out that Foss had created the letter O with a collage made from 1970's erotic magazine clippings. The evocative works have a deep-seated personal significance to Foss, equaled by their ability to bring to the fore historical references that lie inherent within the nude figure.
Framing option is black or white painted wood, 7/8" wide flat face and 7/8" deep, with UV acrylic glass.
