Limited Edition of 15 Pairs

We are thrilled to announce our new collaboration with Asp & Hand, the glass design and production house founded by married couple Blair and Eli Hansen.

2020 has complicated the simplicity of touch. For those accustomed to living alone or with chronic illness, it may have never been simple. Sensation is invisible and yet pervades even the most granular details.

Asp & Hand glass objects are uncanny, tactile, and intended for frequent use. Coming to design via fine art — Blair spent fifteen years working at galleries including Gagosian and Hauser & Wirth, as well as overseeing the archive of the Dash Snow Estate and the art studio of Dan Colen; Eli trained in Seattle for ten years with esteemed glass artists including Dale Chihuly, while focusing on his own artistic practice — the pair sees ordinary objects as opportunities for functional sculpture, encouraging consideration and a general slowing of the pace of life.

Healing exists in myriad forms. As we near the end of a tumultuous year, we are thinking about things we can and cannot touch. We arrive together at the quotidian, daily rituals where to invite increased awareness, reaching out to connect with intimate experience and the vessels which contain the sustenance we require to survive.

Our Asp & Hand collaboration features four pairs of exclusive glassware in limited editions of 15. Handmade in the Pacific Northwest; each one-of-a-kind, hand-blown vessel is stamped and varies in form and color. CARE: Handmade Asp & Hand glass should be hand-washed with a mild detergent and dried with a soft cloth. Glass is not suitable for boiling or hot contents. Please keep Asp & Hand glass out of the freezer and microwave.
