PRINT AID
This edition is part of an original series of limited edition silkscreen prints, entitled PRINT AID, created in response to the distress caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. PRINT AID is a collaborative effort between silkscreen studio Pegasus Prints, art consultancy Sidel & McElwreath, and Exhibition A to provide creativity and assistance through the art community. Each edition supports an artist whose business has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, a portion of sales is donated to The Artist’s Fellowship, Inc, a non-profit organization that financially assists professional visual artists and their families in times of emergency, disability or bereavement.
ABOUT THE WORK
How are you included in space, how is your environment built around you? Perspectives will shift and tilt depending on where you sit, so what defines solidity? How do you know what is real? Kate Shepherd invents, expands and collapses spaces in her elegant body of work that is mainly known for her explorations in enamel but spans painting, screenprinting, sculpture, and installation. We are excited to partner with Pegasus Prints and Sidel & McElwreath to present a new silkscreen edition by Shepherd titled "Calendar Days, Pandemic" as part of Print Aid.
Framing options are black or white painted wood, 7/8" wide flat face and 7/8" deep, with UV acrylic glass. Each work is floated with a 1" border.
