ABOUT THE WORK
Black Sky is a whimsical scene of animals and humans. Although the painting can be seen as playful, fun, and festive at first look, its theme explores the relationship between humans, animals, and the environment to question and rethink our relationship to the living world in times of climate crisis. According to the artist, "While the subject matter explores issues of our time, I try to make my paintings playful, humorous, and bright visually. It is important for me to create a playful visual world that will invite the viewers to engage." This edition is a series of 25 archival pigment prints, each hand-finished with acrylic and wax pastel in the artist's studio.
