Influenced by the likes of Jeff Koons, Barbara Kruger, and Richard Prince, artist Andy Wauman uncovers meaning in the mundane - pointing to the trivial rather than pursuing originality. In 2012, Wauman mounted a solo exhibition entitled The Golden Bullet Takes A Million Years To Hit at Deweer Gallery in Belgium. Based on a large sculpture from the exhibition, this print of a Winchester .45 Colt bullet head exemplifies Wauman's flirtation with the superficiality of contemporary material culture. As Gerrit Vermeiren puts it, "His art is about the underlying rhythm and anatomy of the urban context - its heartbeat - in a maelstrom of visual, graphic and linguistic elements. With a certain sense of drama and the romantic, Wauman places the chaos of contemporary signals and eroded signifiers into an almost apocalyptic perspective."
Framing options are white or black painted wood, 3/4" wide flat face frame 1" deep with UV acrylic glass.
