Hayal Pozanti will be included in an upcoming group show, Loss for Words, which opens at BAM on September 25. She'll be having a book launch in conjunction with the exhibition on October 23rd.
Pozanti has a BA from Sabanci University and an MFA from Yale University. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Broad Art Museum in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the San Jose Museum of Art. Pozanti recently had her first solo museum exhibition, titled Deep Learning, at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Connecticut and her first public art exhibition “Relentless Tenderness” at the World Trade Center as part of Public Art Fund’s 40th anniversary show. Her work has recently been shown at Rachel Uffner Gallery in New York and in group exhibitions at The Kitchen, MCA Santa Barbara, Sabanci Museum in Istanbul, and Prospect.3 at the 2014 New Orleans Biennial, among others.
