Alex Da Corte (b.1981, Camden, NJ) has exhibited extensively, both nationally and internationally, with solo shows and presentations at Luxembourg & Dayan (New York), David Risley (Copenhagen), White Cube (London), Carl Kostyal (Stockholm), Brooklyn Academy of Music, Institute of Contemporary Art (Philadelphia), Artspeak (Vancouver), mother’s tankstation (Dublin), and Nudashank (Baltimore). His work has been included in exhibitions at MoMA PS1 (Queens), the Museum of Modern Art (New York), and the deCordova Museum (Lincoln, MA). In 2012, he was named a Pew Fellow in the Arts by the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage (Philadelphia). Da Corte received his BFA from the University of the Arts and his MFA from Yale University in 2010, and is represented by Joe Sheftel Gallery in New York. The artist currently lives and works in Philadelphia, PA.
