Becky Kolsrud’s (b.1984, Los Angeles, CA) work “deals with non-verbal communication between women. I create characters to tell strange and equivocal stories, inspired by personal experience and an interest in the history of portraiture.” She has done solo shows at JTT (New York), Tif’s Desk at Thomas Solomon Gallery (Los Angeles), and Karma (New York). She has also exhibited work at Luxembourg & Dayan (New York) and The Last Brucennial. She graduated with a BS from New York University in 2006 and an MFA in painting from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2012. Kolsrud currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
