Chris Martin
1234... (Blue) (2014) and Tree (2014) are our first collaborations with Chris Martin. In 2016, Martin selected 10 prints from each edition to hand-finish, summoning the physicality of his process onto the original print and resulting in the same energetic activity found in his works on paper and paintings.
Chris Martin (b. 1954, Washington DC) has held solo exhibitions at David Kordansky (Los Angeles), Anton Kern (New York), Timothy Taylor (London), Half Gallery (New York), Karma (New York), Mitchell-Innes & Nash (New York), KOW (Berlin), Galerie Rodolphe Janssen (Brussels), and The Corcoran Gallery of Art (Washington DC), among others, as well as a two-person exhibition alongside Tamara Gonzales at The Pit (Los Angeles). Select group exhibitions include presentations at Almine Rech (London), Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac (London), Rodolphe Janssen (Brussels), Venus Over Manhattan (New York), Rachel Uffner Gallery (New York), The Journal Gallery (Brooklyn), Zach Feuer (New York), Eva Presenhuber (Zurich), Marlborough Gallery (Madrid) and Halsey McKay (East Hampton). Martin lives and works in Brooklyn and Catskills, NY.
