Kon Trubkovich
Kon Trubkovich’s (b.1979, Moscow, Russia) videos, paintings, and works on paper often deal with the disruption, interference, and distortion that occur from the imperfect technological transfer of information. He has mounted solo exhibitions at United Artists Ltd. (Marfa, TX), Joslyn Art Museum (Omaha, NE), Marianne Boesky (New York), and OHWOW (Los Angeles). In May 2014, he was included in a three person show with Wallace Berman and Tony Lewis at the Eldridge Street Synagogue (New York), curated by Joel Mesler of UNTITLED gallery. The first monograph on his oeuvre, published by Osmos, surveys his career in color reproductions and in-depth critical discussion, traversing the period from his first museum exhibition in 2006 to the present day. Trubkovich currently lives and works in New York.
