Lauren Nickou

Lauren Nickou was born in Newburyport, Massachusetts (USA) in 1986. She has presented solo exhibitions at Ferro Strouse Gallery (Brooklyn, NY) and Tubb Plug (Queens, NY). Recent group exhibitions include Downtown Painting curated by Alex Katz at Peter Freeman, Inc. (New York, NY), Summer of Love at Freight + Volume (New York, NY), and Upstairs Art Fair with New Release (Amagansett, NY). She received her MFA from Queens College, City University of New York, and her BFA from University of Massachusetts Amherst. A work from her unicorn tapestry series was acquired by the San Antonio Museum of Art, Texas. After over a decade living and working in New York, she has recently relocated to Vienna, Austria.
