Matthew Chambers

Matthew Chambers (b. 1982, Boise, ID) confronts the act of painting through diversity, exuberantly flitting from direct representation to complete abstraction and working in media as varied as oil paint, raw canvas, and fuzzy nylon flocking. He has had solo shows at Zach Feuer, Untitled and Rental Gallery (New York), the Zabludowicz Collection (London), Praz-Delavallade (Paris), Angstrom (Los Angeles), Blanket Contemporary Art (Vancouver), and recently mounted a two person show with Brendan Fowler at Hezi Cohen Gallery (Tel Aviv). His work has been featured in group exhibitions at Saatchi Gallery (London), The Rubell Family Collection (Miami), Zach Feuer (New York), MOCA Pacific Design Center (Los Angeles), Marlborough Madrid, Brand New Gallery (Milan), and Luce Gallery (Turin).
