Michael Bevilacqua (b. 1966, CA) blends iconography from high and low culture to create complex, wide-ranging work that raises important questions about how one can remain vital and individual within a corporatized society. His work has been exhibited extensively at spaces such as the Palais de Tokyo (Paris), Whitney Museum of American Art (New York), Dallas Museum of Art, Mitsuni Collection (Tokyo), and The Phoenix Art Museum (Arizona). He has had solo shows at Last Resort (Copenhagen), The Flat (Milan), Peter Amby Gallery (Copenhagen), and Gering & Lopez (New York). Bevilacqua is based in New York.
