Paige Powell
Paige Powell is best known for her candid shots documenting the rise of the avant-garde contemporary art scene. After moving to New York City from Portland, Oregon, she landed both of her dream jobs: one of working with Woody Allen, and the other with Interview Magazine. Through the latter, she became a close friend and confidant of the magazine’s founder, Andy Warhol, and consequently a fixture at his Factory. Currently, Powell works as a photographer, curator, and animal rights activist. She lives and works between Portland, New York City, and Los Angeles.
