Joanne Greenbaum has mounted three solo exhibitions in 2016; her shows at greengrassi (London) and Richard Telles Fine Art (Los Angeles) opened this winter, and her current show is on view at Rachel Uffner Gallery (New York) until July 1. Other solo shows include Galerie Crone (Berlin), Texas Gallery (Houston), Nicolas Krupp (Basel), Shane Campbell Gallery (Chicago), D’Amelio Terras (New York) and CCA Andratx (Majorca). Greenbaum has mounted two person shows with Polly Apfelbaum at Halsey McKay Gallery (East Hampton), and Jean-Baptiste Bernadet at Michael Jon Gallery (Miami). Selected group exhibitions include The Chinati Foundation (Marfa), MoMA PS1 (Queens), The Flag Art Foundation (New York), Hammer Museum (Los Angeles), Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art (Ridgefield, CT), and Art Institute Chicago. Joanne Greenbaum is the recipient of the Gwendolyn Knight Lawrence Award in Art from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Grant, and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. She was born in 1953 in New York City, and continues to live and work in New York.
