Exhibition A is pleased to announce its Cultural Partnership with NADA New York 2017. As NADA’s Cultural Partner, we are proud to present a series of new limited edition prints by Mira Dancy.

The limited edition, Transpose Me, features imagery adapted from one of Dancy’s earlier paintings Blue Angel (2015). In addition to the standard print run of 35, Dancy has created 10 unique versions of the series specifically for NADA New York 2017. Exhibition A will also be offering a presale of the standard edition at the fair.

Working across a range of media, Dancy’s practice has been described by Artforum as existing with “lurid force and elegant autonomy." Whether painting, plexi or neon, her signature subject often centers on the female form splintered towards abstraction or atmosphere. Framed by the space between myth and popular culture, Dancy underscores the fluidity between accepted fictions and their construction in the everyday.

Mira Dancy (b.1979) lives and works in New York, NY. She received her MFA from Columbia University, New York in 2009. She has been the subject of solo presentations at YUZ Museum, Shanghai; Galerie Hussenot, Paris; Chapter NY, New York and Night Gallery, Los Angeles. Her work has been included in group exhibitions at institutions such as MoMA PS1, New York; Rubell Family Collection, Miami; and National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington. She has a forthcoming solo exhibition at Chapter NY, New York in April 2017.
