About the Work
Cloud Bloom emerges as a testament to Emma Kohlmann's dedicated exploration and affection for the chromatic spectrum, particularly the elusive and tranquil chromium green. This hand-finished edition embodies a journey towards the perfect hue, culminating in a composition that breathes lightness into its very essence. Kohlmann's struggle and eventual triumph in achieving the ideal green give life to the ethereal floral petals that seem to float across the canvas, inviting the viewer into a serene, blossoming cloud-like space. The work is meticulously crafted using acrylic atop an archival pigment print on Hahnemühle Museum Etching Paper. Limited to an edition of 20, each uniquely embellished piece is a testament to Kohlmann's skillful hand and nuanced approach to color and form, making Cloud Bloom a delicate balance of precision and spontaneity.
