ABOUT THE WORK

Paul Wackers paints with the tradition of the still life in mind. Window ledges and shelving units busy with potted plants, colorful vessels, and abstract knicknacks fill his compositions, which seem to vibrate with the activity of someone’s everyday routine. In Cut Fresh, Wackers masterfully builds 25 unique narratives from a singular bold foundation.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Paul Wackers currently has a solo show on view at Eleanor Harwood (San Francisco). He has recently held solo exhibitions at Jack Hanley Gallery (New York), Alice Gallery (Brussels), Morgan Lehman Gallery (New York), and The Wall (Berlin), among others. Group exhibitions include presentations at New Image Art (Los Angeles) and Halsey McKay (East Hampton). His work is in the MIMA Museum (Brussels) and many prominent private and public collections including The Stanford University Medical Center Collection. Wackers lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
