About the Work
Our new collaboration with Neil Raitt is based on his painting Forest Clearing (2022), which was recently exhibited in Tangerine Sunset, his 2022/23 solo exhibition at Galerie Judin (Berlin). Raitt's hand-finished series transforms his original painting into twelve distinctive worlds, each print reflecting unique opportunities for ethereal exploration — from hot sunrises to atmospheric moonlit nights and the moments in between. Taking inspiration from personal photography on sunrise dog walks to art historical examples of how color was utilized by the Les Nabis painters, as well as an ongoing reflection on the Hudson River School, Raitt’s unflinching gaze permits for subjective tenderness amongst the verisimilitude.
Says Raitt, “For this series, I utilized a slow drying medium with acrylic to delay the process, allowing subtle cloud formations to emerge, drawing it closer to that of oil painting where things can happen spontaneously while the paint is still wet. Part colorfield explorations and part cloud studies, these works emerged through the layering of color washes, thinking about how light from above would be reflected in the water below to transport the viewer into twelve distinct landscapes.”
Neil Raitt (b. 1986, Leicester, UK) has held solo exhibitions at Galerie Judin (Berlin), Anat Egbi Gallery (Los Angeles), Galerie Chez Valentin (Paris), The Cabin (Los Angeles), Mon Cheri (Brussels), The Goss Michael Foundation (Dallas), and Nicelle Beauchene (New York) among others. Select group exhibitions include presentations at Rental Gallery (East Hampton), Praz-Delavellade (Los Angeles), The Porch Museum (New York), The Hole (New York), Choi & Lagar (Cologne), Winter Projects (London), Piccadilly Place (Manchester, UK), and the Departure Foundation (London). Raitt lives and works in London.

Please contact email@example.com to have your order framed.
Framed artwork is custom framed once it is ordered. Allow 3-5 weeks for framing and delivery.
All of our frames are made from sustainably sourced engineered hardwood that is manufactured in the USA. Frames are available in Black or White Matte and Walnut.
Prints are hinged to a conservation quality, acid-free and lignin-free Cellulose matboard, using acid-free polyethylene cloth tape. Each mat’s surface paper is fade and bleed resistant and is attached to a conversation quality foam-core board. Some of our work (typically those pieces with a deckled edge) is floated on the matboard with spacers to separate the artwork from the glazing.
We use museum quality .060 mm plexiglass to frame your work. It blocks 82-85% of UV rays to prevent color fading from exposure to light, protecting your art for years to come.
Our White and Black frames have a ⅞” wide flat face and are 15/16” deep. Mats are 1” wide for prints up to 8” x 10”. Mats are 2” wide for prints larger than 8” x 10”.
Our Natural and Walnut frames have a ¾” wide flat face and are 1 ⅛” deep. Mats are 1” wide for prints up to 8” x 10”. Mats are 2” wide for prints larger than 8” x 10”.
Any artwork that is floated will be placed in a frame that has a ⅝” wide flat face and is 1 5/16” deep. Work will be floated with a 1” border around it.
