Walter Robinson wears many hats: painter, critic-about-town, founder of Artnet. Growing up as part of the "Pictures Generation," Robinson's work often deals with the widespread imagery of contemporary consumer culture. His 2013 show "Indulgences" featured straightforward paintings of personal vices, from White Castle sliders to pin-ups to nasal spray. Despite its apparent banality, however, the work brings attention to something much more primal and instinctive. The title of this print is a nod to Jasper Johns' famous series of works depicting paintbrushes poking out of an old Savarin coffee can.
Framing options are white or black painted wood, 3/4" wide flat face and 1" deep, with UV acrylic glass.
