ABOUT THE WORK
"Pink Moment is inspired by an image from one of an ongoing series of drawings of flowers I have been making at my kitchen table.
The drawings are a daily practice like meditation. I have the feeling of melting into my subjects as I paint them. I want to be very direct and intimate with them.
In this particular image, I chose the title Pink Moment, referring to a magical and fleeting time after the sun sets, when the sky turns pink. It's something you have to catch by being present in the moment, and something that is innately brief but beautiful, much like the flowers; a subtle reminder of the brevity and preciousness of life." - Jennifer Sullivan
